We are proud to have donated £45,000 to the Damilola Taylor Trust, and helped raise an additional £25,000 since November 2014. The Damilola Taylor Trust was set up by Richard Taylor OBE, in memory of his son Damilola Taylor, who was tragically murdered in 2000 at the age of 10. The charity works to improve the lives and opportunities of disadvantaged young people in urban areas.
Listen helped save The Damilola Taylor Trust, which helps underprivileged young people, from extinction when we donated £45,000 and raised an additional £20,000 to save them through pro-bono fundraising in 2014 and 2015. Richard Taylor OBE says:
“Listen were instrumental in helping save the Damilola Taylor Trust and if not for them we would not exist. This generosity has been reinforced by their agreement to fund one of our projects working with young people in London in 2017 and 2018. It is fantastic that the relationship with DTT which started in a very difficult time for the Trust is going from strength to strength”.

2016 also saw over 100 Listen employees volunteer their time and resources to partner in a national telethon helping raise over £5million for charity. This is just one example of a range of activities our staff undertook through the year – from the traditional bake sales (£3,000 from cakes and still cooking!) all the way through to our HR manager running a marathon around the outside of the office to fund breakthrough treatment for a young brain cancer sufferer.
We have an ongoing partnership as a benefactor to SOFII (www.sofii.org), arguably the world’s most important fundraising resource. We have partnered with them for over two years now and have helped fund their updated website and their translation services to make it a universally accessible, free fundraising resource for fundraisers across the globe.
We have also donated over 120 computers to Computer Aid to help schools in the developing world and our ethical purchasing policy has resulted in over 750 trees having been planted in our name too, something we are very proud of.
